Lenin stature
Monument is set behind the Historical Museum, opposite the parliament. Statues of Lenin adorned the central square of the capital for nineteen years. Its bronze part weighs about 17 tons and the light frame construction about 20 tons. It was moved in November 7, 2003. This is the only statue of Lenin in Central Asia. The Kyrgyz Government has decided that the monument is the part the country’s history and passed a special law for the conservation of the monument.
